Diesel Fuel Contamination / DEF Repair Assistance in Central Florida

DEF in your diesel tank? Stop right there.
If even a small amount of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) ends up in your fuel tank, it can cause catastrophic damage to your entire fuel system. DEF is corrosive to components like injectors, pumps, and fuel rails — and once the ignition is turned to the start position, the damage is done.
If you're lucky enough to catch the mistake before attempting to start your engine, you might still have a shot.
Here's what to do:
Immediately secure your keys and do not attempt to start the truck. Call our DEF contamination specialist, Dave Knisley, at 863-583-9234 or email him at dknisley@lakelandautomall.com.
As a critical precaution, we also strongly recommend disabling your fuel pump to prevent accidental startup or priming. Contact Dave for help with safely unplugging the pump before your truck is towed in.
Time is critical. DEF contamination is not forgiving — but quick action could save your engine and your wallet.
