The 2020 Audi Q5 45 Premium Plus quattro immediately stands out for drivers seeking an SUV that communicates with the road and rewards attentive hands. From the first turn of the leather steering wheel, the Q5’s chassis delivers a planted, confident feel, blending road composure with subtle feedback.

Enthusiasts who crave a daily drive with a sense of connection will appreciate how the Q5 balances engagement and comfort. The steering responds naturally to inputs, building confidence whether weaving through city streets or merging onto the expressway. In climates like central Florida, the SUV’s automatic temperature control and ventilated, leather-trimmed cabin provide year-round comfort, while the Audi smartphone interface makes every drive more enjoyable and connected.

Performance takes center stage with the 2.0L TFSI engine and quattro all-wheel drive, supplying smooth, brisk acceleration and surefooted handling. The automatic transmission delivers crisp, well-timed shifts, letting the driver feel in command during quick overtakes or relaxed highway cruising. Suspension tuning achieves a delicate balance—firmer than most in its class without harshness—so the Q5 settles confidently into corners while remaining poised on uneven surfaces. Speed-sensing steering offers precise feedback, allowing for subtle course corrections at speed and a direct connection to the road.

Safety systems in the Q5 are engineered to support agile driving without interfering with driver control. Electronic Stability Control and traction control intervene only when needed, subtly correcting for over-enthusiastic maneuvers or slick conditions while preserving tactile feedback. The rearview camera and rain-sensing wipers enhance situational awareness, while ABS brakes and brake assist provide immediate, reassuring response in sudden stops. Lane-keeping systems are tuned to assist without overriding the driver’s intent, maintaining the vehicle’s engaging feel even as they add a layer of confidence.

This SUV’s Premium Plus trim elevates the experience with features designed for comfort and focus behind the wheel. Heated 8-way power front bucket seats ensure support on long journeys, while the dual-zone automatic climate control creates a tailored environment for both driver and passenger. High-intensity discharge headlights and auto high-beam functionality illuminate night drives, and Audi connect CARE adds emergency communication peace of mind. Genuine wood inserts and leather surfaces enrich the tactile experience, complementing the refined driving environment.

Against competitors like the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC, the Q5 distinguishes itself through its nuanced steering and all-wheel-drive composure.

Is this SUV comfortable for daily commutes and long trips? The Q5’s cabin is well-insulated and its suspension delivers a composed, fatigue-free ride on highways and in the city. Does the vehicle offer advanced driver assistance? Yes, with Audi connect CARE, electronic stability features, and a rearview camera, safety and confidence are enhanced without diluting driver engagement.
